I have been very bisy working on my wife's web site. It is finally live and ready to share with the world! It is www.edgpersonaltraining.ca . I hope to be a supplier to her for all of her food once the main part of the business is up and running.
The queens were released as I mentioned and the business of the hive is still very quiet around the two with the new queen. I must say the wild hive looks a little more energized since recieving the new queen. I hope there were enough worker bees to support a new queen. Anyway, I am looking forward to opening up the hive and getting a look at what is going on.

Here is a picture of hive activity earlier in the year.
I was listening to Jack Spirco on the Survival Podcast the other day and was blown away by Stephen Harris and his ideas on using solar activity to generate heat. I am going to try a few experiments and create a hot water capture device. I also want to experiment with solar cookers and all sorts of great stuff. Ironically it is too hot right now to bother with doing any great experiments on the roof. It has been about 30 degrees every day for weeks, and no end is in sight! It will be a great fall experiment.
The salad greens are sprouting in the green house and on the walkway by the way! The other day for the second time I unloaded 600L of water in my green house! I started the drip line running off my 1000L rain catch tank and then forgot about it! Man it has been so dry you could not tell the plants got it! They are very healthy though and the tomatoes are doing awesome!
Bee Stoic.
